A bedroom should be a place where you want to retreat to. Think beautiful textures such as soft linen, crisp silk or smooth velvet for a touch of opulence and pure linen on the bed is a sure-fire way to bring about a relaxing nights sleep.
Accessories, too, can bring an instant touch of tranquillity. Simply adding a cushion or two, a soft throw or a tactile rug will update the room in a moment, and because they are not permanent changes, why not have fun and really experiment with restful tones of colour, pattern and print. Our Saverne Camellia bed linen is a beautiful example of using print within the bedroom. Its exuberant blooms are delicately scaled, making it extravagant and neutral all at once. We spent hours finding the most perfect shade of celadon to hand paint the foliage, ensuring a truly soothing colour palette. We pair this floral print with smart geometric embroidery as seen on the Saverne Embroidered Sheets and Pillowcases to provide a note of balance and harmony.
Paint is another brilliant way of creating a relaxing, contemporary haven. Try our shades Eucalyptus Leaf , Mother of Pearl or Moody Grey for a neutral, calming look. Remember that you should never buy paint just by checking the colour on the pot, it is so imperative to try a sample pot at home in the room. Don't paint the wall, instead paint a large piece of paper and try it in different areas of the room as of course the light will differ within the space. By moving the paper to these different areas you will have a much clearer view of how the light will affect the overall colour.
