The World of Designers Guild

Designers Guild ‘Paints The Tate’

Designers Guild is thrilled to be supporting The Tate as they host their first major retrospective of the work of the incredible Barbara Hepworth in almost 50 years.

One of the most prestigious galleries in London, The Tate Britain selected 4 colours from Designers Guild’s new 154 colour paint range, choosing shades that most resonate with Hepworth’s style, and which will provide the backdrop for some of her most significant sculptures in wood, stone and bronze alongside rarely seen works.

An early and courageous pioneer of abstract art in Britain, Hepworth’s iconic sculpture takes pride of place in museum collections worldwide as well as outside buildings such as the UN headquarters in New York.

Alongside sculpture, the exhibition will feature rarely seen textiles, photographs, collages, film, and selected works by her peers and predecessors from Jacob Epstein to Henry Moore.
