DG AT HOME | A new pace of life

“We have all changed our lifestyle to adjust to the new normal - Finding innovative ways to adapt to the new situation and creating a serene space from which to live and work. It’s important now more than ever to build healthy habits and nourish.

Having time to appreciate every meal, the trinkets in our home..taking a moment to work on one’s reading list, allowing a new hobby to form or just being content within the space of your four walls.

Bringing natural elements such as fresh flowers into the home can reconnect us to the outdoors, and, in turn, boost our moods. It is currently a priority for me – whether it’s taking fresh buds from the garden or supporting my local florist for home delivery.

I’m fanatical about food and in my view, eating should always be an occasion no matter how big or small. Now is the time to reflect and renew and to be aware. We can take our time setting the table or trying a new recipe – my go-to snack are homemade Parmesan biscuits, but I must warn you – they are highly addictive!

Find the recipe here.

Colour surrounds me wherever I am and is the ultimate stimulant; it awakens the senses and brings instant joy. Choosing colours, patterns and textures for one’s home is completely subjective and that is why I feel it is so important to choose a scheme that you are intrinsically drawn to and that you love - I will be talking more about the power of colour over the coming weeks.

I hope wherever you are in the world, life is filled with a sense of calm and creativity” Tricia Guild.
