Moodboard: Sea tones

APRIL 2020

As we look to invite more serenity into our homes over the coming weeks, our new Earth Tones paint collection is the perfect choice to add soothing shades of the natural world.

In this moodboard we focus on the tones of the seascape from this paint collection. A wonderful union of seven hues working in harmony together – from Uniform No.178. Grey doesn’t have to mean utilitarian, this shade is the perfect neutral. To Japanese Ink No.184. A deep, inky black-blue reminiscent of Japanese calligraphy. A rich teal-blue group that might otherwise be thoughtlessly denounced as cold, very much offers warmth and strength to a space.

A mix of colours such as this works best when you stick to tonality. Keep the palette strict and let the texture do the talking. Matt velvet and shimmering silks will provide contrast and life without altering the balance.
