The World of Designers Guild

Hot pink is a colour we have always loved at DG - from the shocking pink of Schiaparelli to the pink, black and white of Cecil Beaton's 'My Fair Lady' - we associate it with confidence, strength, sassiness and dynamism.

Here are our top tips for embracing this fabulous colour into you life:
1. Why not try an eye popping hit of pink as a fashion accessory - these Ipad covers will almost certainly never get lost or left behind.
2. If you are nervous of pink, but want to dip your toe in - why not try bedlinen. Here the Biella bedlinen offers a two tone pink, a stronger shade on one shade and a softer blossom shade on the reverse so you can flip it depending on your mood.
3. The Trailing Rose wallpaper design from our spring collection brings the strongest shade of pink, which is tempered by shading into pure white and is then adorned with trailing roses and foliage. p13274
4. On our moodboard today the Chinoiserie print takes centre stage. Here we have cooled it down with fresh accents of jade and duck egg blue and all set against a pure white ground. This balance of colours together brings the whole mood to life and harmonises the stronger shades. Add in more white, or embrace the pink with great textures in similar rose, fuchsia or magenta shades.
5. Don't forget paint, a pink wall will always add an instant wow factor and personality to space - why not try our Vreeland pink an exotic pink and as the great lady said – “Pink is the navy blue of India.”
